OFIC, in partnership with the Independent College Advancement Associates (ICAA), is providing an opportunity for member campus professionals working in advancement and career services, an opportunity to collaborate and come together as a community during a special one-day track part of, but separate from their 2024 Summer Conference, held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.   Discover how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing higher education in this insightful session featuring Denison University. Learn how AI technology is being leveraged to enhance career services, alumni engagement, and drive mentorship, volunteering, and giving initiatives.

  Join Denison’s Alyssa Smith, Senior Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Alumni and Family Engagement and Max Leisten, CEO of Protopia, as they delve into:

  • Strategic Integration: How Denison University strategically incorporated AI into programs.

  • Collaborative Implementation: Strengthening teamwork across departments through AI adoption.

  • Impactful Outcomes: Real-world results and enhanced productivity achieved with AI in higher education.

  Hear from Dr. Jonathon Fagert, Baldwin Wallace Faculty Fellow, and Patrick Keebler, Baldwin Wallace Career Center Director, to view and learn about a new Canvas course designed to help make career education a part of the academic experience for every student, Baldwin Wallace University recently appointed its first-ever Career Center Faculty Fellow and also launched a new course designed for faculty which includes 11 stand-alone career-related lessons that can be incorporated into courses already being taught. This presentation will provide an overview of the new course along with other strategies for supporting the integration of career readiness into the curriculum.

  Hear from Antonique Flood, Ph.D., Director of Professional Development and Curriculum, University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business Career Services and Susan Bailey, Assistant Director, University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business Career Services on how the integration of generative AI holds immense potential for revolutionizing Career Services. In this session, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how generative AI can be harnessed as a powerful tool in Career Services, fostering a more efficient, personalized, and forward-thinking approach to career development.

  Hear from Melanie Garrabrant, OFIC Manager of Business Partnerships, on how OFIC is reimagining career connection opportunities for students. During this interactive session we’ll brainstorm career industries and connection opportunities to shape future OFIC offerings and programming.

  This fall OFIC is excited to offer a Manufacturing Expo+ through a generous grant from Honda and additional sponsors!  Get a sneak peek of the expo+ programming to create more awareness and connections between students and the manufacturing industry.
