The Anderson Foundation has supported OFIC under different umbrellas for over 70 years. Their cumulative giving over this time totals nearly $1 million. Anderson Foundation supported scholarships for many years before transitioning to unrestricted support for our 32 member campuses. Their support is integral to OFIC success in the Northwest Ohio Region and OFIC thanks them!
Fifth Third Bank has maintained a steadfast partnership with OFIC for over two decades, contributing more than $100,000 in support of 40 scholarships. As a leader in the banking industry, Fifth Third also backs other OFIC initiatives, including sponsorships for events and more. OFIC is deeply appreciative of Fifth Third Bank's continuing support, which significantly bolsters our programs and efforts.
The J.M. Smucker Company has been giving to OFIC for 50 years and have given over $25,000 annually for the past decade, providing many scholarships in the Northeast Ohio Region. Smucker is expanding their support for OFIC by working on partnerships surrounding our Talent for Ohio initiative and Manufacturing Expo+ series.
The Nationwide Foundation is one of OFIC longest term donors in the Central Ohio region. Nationwide Foundation and OFIC have partnered together for over 70 years. Their cumulative giving over this time totals nearly $5 million. Nationwide is a consistent supporter of independent education, supporting our Ohio Scholars Program and unrestricted giving across our 32 member campuses. OFIC is grateful for the continued support and thanks Nationwide Foundation!
The American Honda Motor Company Inc is the inaugural sponsor of OFIC’s new Manufacturing Expo+ series. A decades long donor of OFIC’s, Honda has supported our campuses and our students through scholarships and various program funding. In 2023, Honda supported the new OFIC Manufacturing Expo+ series initiative and has worked closely with us over the past year to turn the idea into a live event series set to begin this fall of 2024. Honda continues to support OFIC and students in new and innovative ways.
The Nord Family Foundation has been supporting OFIC through scholarships for over 70 years with a cumulative gift total of over $1.3 million. Last year, the Nord Family Foundation supported a new OFIC Internship program that will allow several OFIC students in Lorain County to work with non-profits through internships as well as continue their annual scholarship support. OFIC looks to continue its working partnership with the Nord Family Foundation.
Hirzel Canning Company (manufacturer of Dei Fratelli tomato products) has proudly partnered with OFIC for nearly 60 years, supporting our students through continuous contributions. Recently celebrating its 100th anniversary, food industry leader, also backs other OFIC initiatives, also backs other OFIC initiatives, including the upcoming Manufacturing Expo+ Series. OFIC is deeply grateful for Hirzel Canning Company's unwavering support, which significantly enhances our programs and efforts.
Shook Construction has been a dedicated supporter of OFIC for almost 60 years with a cumulative gift of $100,000. Shook takes pride in actively engaging with their OFIC scholarship recipients, offering annual internship opportunities that pave the way for career entry. Over the past five years, they've consistently increased their annual support and continue to sponsor a scholarship recipient annually, highlighting their ongoing dedication to fostering impactful collaborations and successful transitions from academia to the world of work.
Waterford Bank N.A. is eager to expand its partnership with OFIC through the Talent for Ohio initiative, building on nearly ten years of giving. Bank leaders aim to attract a wide array of talent, including college students, for future positions as this area of growth aligns closely with OFIC's mission. In addition to their scholarship support, Waterford Bank is committed to engaging with OFIC Talent initiatives, such as events and internships, to further strengthen their connection with emerging talent and foster impactful collaborations.
